VERTICILLIUM LECANII Verticillium lecanii is a fungus that can act as a parasite of insects and kills or seriously disables them. Verticillium lecanii produce toxins called bassianolide and dipicolinic acid which have insecticidal properties. It infects all the stages of insects. Insects are infected as soon as they come into contact with the sticky fungal spores which then grow and invade the body causing combination of chemical, mechanical, water loss and nutrient loss effect leading to their death. It infects insect by producing hyphae from germinating spores that penetrate the insect's integument. Once inside, it starts replicating and consuming pathogens internal contents. Infected insects can be seen as white to yellowish cottony particles.It can infect mealy bugs and sucking insects like thrips, jassids , aphids, white flies and mites leading to their death. METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE:- Foliar spray- Mix 5-10 ml Samridhi Bio Fire per lit. of water, stir well to form uniform suspension and Spray immediately on the target pest during early morning or evening hours by using high volume spray cover both sides of the leaves with spray solution COMPATIBILITY:- Don't mix with any chemical fungicide. Alternate spray with chemical insecticides, fungicides, botanical insecticides may be applied. Avoid usage during high temperature. Always use in evening time.
