We are the pioneer in seafood processing and exports from India and our brand `FIESTA` is well established in the domestic and international markets. In 1980, India Sea Foods started research work for the better utilization of its seafood waste with the technical guidance of Central Institute of Fisheries Technology ( C.I.F.T.), a Govt. of India research institute for fisheries and related products. This teamwork led to the first commercial production of chitin and its derivatives in India. In 1987, we set up a pilot plant for the processing of chitin from fresh crustacean shells with a production capacity of 1000-Kgs, per month. In 1988, we bagged export orders for chitin from Europe and exported the first consignment from India. Our present plant, set up with the most recent technology, has a production capacity of 500 Metric Tons chitin per year. We have been supplying to major buyers in Europe, US , Japan, Vietnam and China since then. Our R&D department with the joint efforts of C.I.F.T. developed the technology for the commercial processing of industrial and food grade chitosan. Our chitosan plant has a commercial production capacity of 150 tons per year, with provisions for infrastructure to increase this to200-250 tons per year. Now In 2018 ,The Chitin/Chitosan Division of INDIA SEA FOODS has demerged from our Parent Company India Sea Foods and is operating independently in the Name and Style of ISF CHITIN AND MARINE PRODUCTS LLP. We are an ISO 9001: 2015 certified company with certification from KVQA, South Asia and operates a state of the art production facility. This helps us to match our products to our client's specific needs. Our products have been incorporated in leading brands of neutracuetical, pharmaceutical and health care products and various industrial applications. Our R & D department is constantly working to improve quality and develop new application with chitin & chitosan.
