Synonyms: N-Butyraldehyde, Butanal, Butyric aldehyde, Butanaldehyde, Butal, Butaldehyde, Butalyde, Butyl aldehyde, N-Butyl aldehyde Normal Butyraldehyde (N-Bal):It is a colourless volatile liquid with a pungent odour. It is soluble in organic solvents and sparingly soluble in water. It is obtained from hydroformulation of Propylene (C3H6) with synthesis gas (CO+H2). Applications:> Used as a raw material in the production of alcohols (mono- and multi-hydroxide), acids, amines, and esters. >Used in the production processes of plasticizers, pharmaceuticals, plant protection products, synthetic resins, odorizing agents, solvents, and various types of additives used in many industries viz., fillers, wetting agents, defoaming agents, improvers, tanning auxiliaries, perfumes, Flavors, antioxidants, vulcanization accelerators, Paints & coatings, Glass treatment, Packaging components non-food contact, etc>Enhances flexibility and durability to plastics when added as additive>Provides characteristic odour to perfumes, fragrance compounds and aromatic products.>Soluble in almost all organic solvents About the Company GST Registration Date: 2017 Legal Status of Firm: Limited Company Number of Employees: 101 To 500 People Annual Turnover: > 500 Cr company-description: APL is a joint venture company promoted by The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (APIDC) and The Andhra Sugars Ltd (ASL). Subsequently the structure of the Company has changed into an assisted sector Company with ASL being the major share holder. M/s APL was established with a capacity to produce 30,000 MTPA of Oxo Alcohols at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The Plant has undergone an Optimization Modernization Scheme to increase the capacity to 73,000 MTPA. The Registered Office of the Company is situated at Tanuku. The Plant employs the latest State of Art of Technology from M/s JM Davy, London, U.K., with total capital investment of around Rs. 4970 million.
