The Erba Triglyceride (TG) Kit is a high-quality diagnostic reagent system used for the quantitative determination of triglycerides in human serum and plasma. Triglycerides are a major type of lipid in the blood and are an important indicator for assessing cardiovascular risk, lipid metabolism disorders, and overall metabolic health. This kit is based on the enzymatic colorimetric (GPO-PAP) method, where triglycerides are enzymatically hydrolyzed to glycerol and fatty acids. The glycerol is then converted through a series of enzymatic reactions to produce a colored quinoneimine compound. The intensity of the color formed is directly proportional to the triglyceride concentration and is measured spectrophotometrically.
