A table frame (also known as the underframe or chassis) is the structural skeleton that supports the tabletop and ensures the entire piece remains stable, level, and capable of bearing weight. While the tabletop provides the aesthetic surface, the frame determines the table's "load-bearing capacity" and its resistance to wobbling.
